Omar previously practiced at one of the world’s largest law firms on Bay Street, where he advised a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies and multinational organizations to entrepreneurs, family offices, and local mom-and-pop businesses. His corporate experience spans mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, and other commercial agreements, with transactions ranging from $100,000 to more than $1 billion.

Acted as local counsel to secure merger control clearance regarding the transaction between Unilever PLC and McCormick and Company valued at over $44 billion.
Advised Miracle-Ear Inc., a subsidiary of Amplifon S.p.A. (BIT: AMP), on the acquisition of a group of hearing clinics across Canada via share purchase agreements totaling over $10 million.
Advised on the sale of a global oil and gas business to Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) for over $31 million.
Acted as local counsel to secure merger control clearance for a transaction between Kobalt Music Group Topco L.P. and Primary Wave Music IP Fund 4, LP valued at over $5 billion.
Advised a U.S.-based private equity firm on the acquisition of an energy business via a share purchase agreement valued at over $69 million.
Advised a cross-border manufacturing company with operations in Canada and the U.S. on its $100+ million sale via a share purchase agreement.
